Overview

FootyZone is a football-knowledge game operated by Metin Jakup. This policy explains how FootyZone handles information when you use the website, iOS app, player account, Daily challenge, friends, and online matches.

You can play solo without creating an account. Account-backed and online features need a player account so progress and match activity can be associated with you.

Information we process

Information you provide

• Your player name and, if you add one, your email address.
• Your password, stored as a one-way password hash and not as readable text.
• Your acceptance of the Player Terms and this Privacy Policy.
• Searches, quiz choices, match actions, friend actions, and other content you submit to server-backed features.

Information created while you play

• Grid record, Daily progress, collection, cosmetic loadout, division, XP, virtual coins, streaks, ranked attempts, and match results.
• Friend, blocked-player, and online-room state needed to provide social and multiplayer features.
• Limited session records such as a device label, token creation time, last-use time, and expiry time.
• Device-only solo progress saved in browser or app storage.

Technical information

FootyZone and its hosting providers may process standard request information such as IP address, browser or device details, timestamps, security events, and error logs to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot the service. Verification and password-reset links use short-lived security tokens.

Why we use it

• To create, authenticate, recover, and secure your player account.
• To run solo, Daily, friend, ranked, and online game features.
• To synchronize progress, rewards, collections, and cosmetics.
• To prevent abuse, investigate errors, and protect players.
• To understand aggregate gameplay patterns and improve game balance and question quality.

FootyZone is not a betting service. Virtual coins and XP are game items, have no cash value, and are not financial accounts.

Storage and sharing

Information is processed by infrastructure providers that host FootyZone, store account data, deliver email, and distribute the app. They process information only as needed to provide those services or meet legal obligations.

Your player name and gameplay presence may be visible to opponents or friends. Your email address and password are not shown to other players. FootyZone does not sell personal information.

Version 1.0 contains no third-party advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or cross-app tracking. If that changes, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosures will be updated before those tools are used.

How long information stays

Account and server-backed game records normally remain until you delete the account. Sessions and recovery tokens expire or can be revoked. Live-room reconnect credentials are encrypted, short-lived, and removed when you leave or they expire.

Limited security logs and backup copies may remain for a short operational period after deletion before rotating out. Device-only progress remains on your device until you clear the app or browser data.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information.

• Verify or update your optional account email.
• Review active sessions and revoke other or all sessions.
• Download a JSON copy of account data held by the server.
• Permanently delete your account and linked server records from the Profile screen after confirming your password.
• Clear app or browser storage separately to remove device-only progress.
• Block another player through the social features.

Younger players and families

FootyZone accounts are for players aged 13 and over. We do not request an exact birth date. Players should use a nickname rather than a full legal name. A parent or guardian can help a younger player manage an account email, privacy choices, or a support request.

Policy changes

We may update this policy when FootyZone features, service providers, or legal requirements change. The current version and effective date will always be published at this address. Material changes will be highlighted in the app or on the website when appropriate.
